Remove the stress of working out how to prepare and plan your training when getting fit to become a firefighter. The Firefighter Fitness Preparation Course is an individualised training system designed to take you from your current fitness level to being physically prepared for your assessment, training school, and the demands of operational duty. Every stage of the FFPC is built around you: your current levels of fitness, strengths and weaknesses, assessment date (if known), and the exact physical tests used by the Fire and Rescue Service you are applying for.

You’ll receive structured, progressive, firefighter-specific training that develops the strength, conditioning, movement quality, work capacity, and confidence required to pass your assessments and be successful during training school.

How does the Firefighter Fitness Preparation Course work?
What makes the FFPC so successful is its Progressive Adaptive System. Rather than following a fixed, one-size-fits-all programme that everyone follows, your training progresses with you and is designed by your coach based on your current fitness levels and the service you're applying for.
Each training phase is designed to build on the last results of testing, so we can build you training phases that adapts to your performance, recovery, strengths, weaknesses, and the demands of your upcoming assessments. This ensures you are always completing the right training at the right time, without doing too much, too little, or leaving important areas unprepared.
